At Desford Community Primary School, we ask that all children wear school uniform. The importance of school uniform is well documented with some of the benefits being:

• helping to maintain high expectations.

School Uniform Consultation

Parents and Children were consulted on the school uniform policy in May 2025.  Due to the upcoming Department for Education school uniform guidance, parents and children were also asked for their thoughts on the shirts and ties that are currently the school uniform for the year 6 children.  Below is a summary of the consultation.  As a result of the consultation, it was decided to keep having shirts and ties in year 6 but to set up a pre-loved ties scheme.

School uniform with the school logo can only be ordered online. Please see the links below to our uniform partners. Deliveries can be made to school (free of charge) or to individual homes (extra charge).  Uniform purchased from other suppliers in the same colours is also acceptable, or you can contact the Friends of Desford Community Primary School (FODCPS) parent group who stock a supply of second hand uniform.  Purchasing from FODCPS helps to raise funds for the school.
