GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR)

at

Desford Community Primary School

Desford Community Primary School acknowledges that to function properly we need to collect and use certain types of information about staff, students and other individuals who come into contact with the school.  We are also obliged to collect and use data to fulfil our obligations to the local authority, Department for Education and other bodies.
 

We highly value and protect all of our pupils, parents and staff data and will update our practices and procedures to keep up-to-date with current data protection regulations. For further information about GDPR please visit the ICO website. We have an appointed Data Protection Officer (DPO) to oversee the way the school handles data and ensure that requests for data are dealt with in accordance with GDPR.  As a local authority maintained school,  GDPR officers in the Children and Family Services department provide advice and policies for supporting this process.
