New  Starters (Foundation Stage)

During the Autumn Term, we offer several opportunities for a tour of the school for parents of children who are looking at starting their first year (EYFS). This is so that parents are able to see the school prior to applications for new starters closing early January. Daytime visits enable you to see the school when children are in and this gives a better feel for the school. With Desford being a growing village, there is a chance that you may move to Desford after 15th December and require a tour after that date. We always endeavour to put on additional dates under these circumstances.

During this tour, you will have the opportunity to meet the Head Teacher and some of the other staff, as well as seeing in classrooms and learning a bit more about the ethos and values of the school. Tours during the school day enable you to get a feel for the school whilst it is in operation.

Mid-Term Starters

Where families are moving to the area mid-year, or joining the school from year 1 upwards, we may be able to accommodate a visit at a separate time to those listed above. We will always do our best to accommodate a school visit at a time that is suitable to you.
